Dear HarmonySite Administrator,
As you may be aware, a standard HarmonySite account comes with 1000 Meg of included hosting space for your files (song files, photos, documents, etc). If you exceed that space, we have been charging $40 per year for each extra 1000 Meg of space (plus GST for Australian accounts). Some clients have found this extra charge to be more than they were willing to pay, but had few other options.
Well, we can now offer you two other options (the second option is brand new):
Option 1 - FREE: Upload your files to a Dropbox account and then "link" the files to your HarmonySite. Note that this only applies to SONG files (MP3s, PDFs, etc), but song files are by far the biggest culprits in taking up your precious HarmonySite space. Dropbox is cheap - you can get several Gig of space for free, or pay around $100 per year for 1000 Gig (1,000,000 Meg). Song files stored in Dropbox and linked into your HarmonySite account do not take up any of your HarmonySite space allowance. You can start using this option immediately. Linking a song file from Dropbox is easy: Simply visit the song's page, click the "Add new file/resource" link, and look for the "Choose from Dropbox" button.
Option 2 - $50 per year: UNLIMITED space. We have developed a technology that allows us to connect your HarmonySite account to the enormous (bottomless) and cheap Amazon Cloud Storage (S3). Using this technology, your files would actually be stored on the Amazon Cloud network, but that would be transparent to you - the files would continue to appear to be stored locally in your HarmonySite account. If you chose this option, you'd never again need to worry about filling up your HarmonySite account.
If you would like to have option 2 added to your account, please reply to this email and authorise this new option. If you have already been paying us for one or more multiples of the $40 1000Meg storage option, we can roll all your files into the new Amazon Cloud and you will no longer need to pay for any of those $40 options - a single $50 per year payment is all that would be payable moving forward.
If you would like to determine how much space your HarmonySite account is using, then log into your main Members page as an administrator, then click the "View the website's Hosting Account Status" link in the "Administration" box.
